TERMITE AND VINE REPORT
hi, ok,
the main 2 things on the termite and vine report this week are that
1.things are going allright....
-we have a contruction site electrical pole and we're waiting to get a permit and then we're gonna try to start service, so far its cost about $150 to put together and we're looking at $100 for the permit and $130 to conect to service... we're scrapping cash together, and when we turn this shit on i'm buying a whole bunch of x-mas tree lights to hang all over the front of our house to make termite a happy lived in looking spot. we'll deal with "energy conservation" later...
-the national guard are nice to us. to the point were we're even daring enuff to start hanging out on our porch again. this whole thing with steve harassing us has actually made us go and befriend the national guard who are nice and chummy with us. we know about a third of our districts guard by name now and they think we're funny and harmless.
- steve is still fucking with us... this monday i came home to find him trying to convince our mail carrier NOT TO GIVE US MAIL !!!! then he saw me and told me, without screaming for a change, that drinking beer at noon disrespects the neighbourhood (which would mean that about %92 of populated houses in 7 ward should leave for the good of the communitee)
he also told me that the couch thats been on termites porch since 1978 is really gross. then he chased the mail carrier down the street yelling something at her.
he also showed up at our place last week and screamed at our new construction pole hook up yelling "THIS IS YOUR LAST CHANCE TERMITE !!!! YOUR LAST CHANCE !!!!!!!
WE CAN NOW TELL WITH ABSOLUTE CERTAINTY THAT STEVE HAS ASS-BURGER SYNDROME AND LIVES IN A DELUSIONAL FAIR TALE LAND. A DELUSIONAL FAIRY TALE LAND COMPLETELY CONTRARY TO OUR OWN.

all the lollyfucks family are always invited home, and if i've privately spoken to or emailed with you then we're waiting for you to come home for ORPHANS X-MAS but right now we got about 12 kids in the house and 6 more of our little family are coming home soon and weird random people just appear at breakfast all the time.
termite is doing well with the law and the neighbourhood SO FAR. WE HAVE ALOT OF PEOPLE watching us. i'm gonna have to drink myself to sleep every night untill mardi gras with my nervousness and anxiety and general drinky dispossition.
a bunch of people are planning some new squatting projects and i'll tell you about them as soon as i have more info.
but yeh, ORPHANS x-MAS !!!! satan claws, presents under the cats claw vines, strands of miniature lightbulds that we may or may not be able to plug in by then.
here is termite according to the sanborn survey of 1934-38.
also visible kitty corner is the cermics store, the house behind it and the house beside it.
termite was built in 1927, previous to then our property know to the city as MD3 Sq1581 Lot24 was not an individual lot but part of a large package of land extending for several blocks.
the ceramics store is older, i traced it back to 1906 when i dont think it was built yet, but a man named hypolite greller first consolidated lots 10 9 and 8 in to one little ranch of properties. lot 8 has since been sold by NORA to some dude named larry. but termite hopes to take 10 and 9 back... more on that in a minute...
heres the origional copies of the 1934 sanborn survey that they let me touch at the library archives. its a 30 volume set of maps in giant 24x16 inch books, and they updated it every two years until 54 by gluing in drawings of any new construction over top of the previous map.
previous to then the lots existed but the property records get confusing and they are all hand written in illegible cursive fountain pen on rotting paper.
nwo most of our neighbourhood is shown as completely empty when you research surveys before 1909, but the streets where here for over 2 centuries.
recently i went in to the library archives to try to find out what was up here before termite was built.
here is city coucill reports official 1974 map of 7 ward. apparently everything north of us is actually gentilly or midcity. incidently our friend steve is not from 7 ward. his mom's abandoned house is but steve lives in midcity.
the city report on the state of 7 ward in 1974 contained references to some ancient maps that show surveys of our neighbourhood predating the sanborn surveys.
i think this is the zimple survey of 1934 ??
its a low resolution scan of the origional map so its not sufficent to get a good look at our neighbourhood.
what it does show though is that most of our neighbourhood was a single plantation atill in 1834. morteville was founded in 1742 by the french as a strategic base to block the british from going up the mississippissippi. in 1742 there was a population of 500 free men and women, 500 african slaves, and 150 eurpean prisoners.
for the next 50 years the city barley expanded out of the quarters as slaves and prisoners frequently escaped in to the bogs to become the swamp people of today, europenas refused to emigrate here because the city was built right in the middle of an unfarmable marsh, and the tiny city repeatedly flooded and got eaten by alligators.
by the end of the 1700 7 ward was a plantation and it changed owners about 8 times untill the mid 1800s.
here is another important map that also regretable isnt very good resolution.
the hardy drainage map of 1978 shows that duels street and london avenue existed in 1878, however, sq 1581, termites block, was not created until decades later and everything north of duels street was just filled in swamps.
the excellent thing about hardy's hand drawn map is that it shows individual structures in our neighbourhood. houses !
also , according to sanborn, at the current location of the train tracks across the drainage canal from elysian feilds hardware, in 1909 there was a gigantic facility for grinding up horses in to glue and fertiliser.
i'll post pics of that later on if sumbuddy reminds me.
the hardy and zimphle maps are both housed in a special historical archive in downtown morteville.
i intend to barge in there this month and try to beg a look at the origional docs so i can photograph our neighbourhood back 200 years.

ELECTRITY
AS i said, we're waiting for a permit, then we have to start service, and they might let me have the bill in my name.
i've had 4 different people offer to have termites bill in their name if it cant be me and i'll contact y'all when i know whats going on. a few people have offered to donate money.. i really need to sit down and try to open a paypall thing... i have no idea what i'm gonna need for to do that but i'll do it this week end maybe.
CONSTRUCTION SCHEDUAL
heres what we hope to get done by new years
-the floor in the front room is almost complete
-construction of the 20 foot high living room
-possibly a draw bridge and a fireman-stripper pole in 20 foot hig living room.
-a flight of stairs to replace the aluminum step ladder from downstairs to upstairs
-electrical outlets in all bedrooms
-electrical service in the workshop room which has no windows and is very very dark
-start tricking out the workshop so we can be equipped for the implimentation of "the bad idea factory"
-repair all upstairs windows
-finish doors to soup's and squirrelss rooms so we can lock them in and ground them
-exterior lights !!
-fix the wall thats falling off the house near the plumbing supplies room
-the bike room and the lumber room are gonna trade places.
and by the building inspection in mardi gras
-replace floor in the completly condemned room
-replace some missing joists in the back
-structural work and walls in the downstairs bedrooms and workshop
-turn on downstairs bathroom
-replace main drainage pipe in the east wing
-new kitchen counters
-a constrcuction of a hive like maze of tunnels in the attic [ben and bryce]
-set up out new broken maytag washing machine [co-owned by apparatus]
-condemned room to be turned in to art and library space [kozmo]
-i'm buildinh myself a super mega bomb proof loft bed seduction torture chamber in my room. it'll have lots of big eye hooks.
RIDE ME DIRTY FACE
EVERYONE IS SUPER MEGA EXCITED ABOUT a giant collaberative queer punk porn project and everybuddy talks about it all the time and people are getting outfits and drunkenly partnering up just cuz they wanna do porn.
we arent ready to start yet, and i am way over taxed with termite, my job, partying, allready but we are having a staff meeting next week to discuss stuff.
bordie macaroni is on bord to do still pic sets, weird franklin is very interested in doing film stuff because i told him there'd be hot punk girls maing out to an entire black sabbath album.
what I'm looking for now is a webmisstress. me and my previous Pron partner are not feeling eachothers vision and i wanna take totall control of this. i intend to build galleries and manage the site myself mostly, and i've never built a pay site before and its gonna take me a minute to get it together. if any of you have the java knoledge to work CCBill and also can host a domain and a big chunk of storage space, this is gonna be a paid possition and i have $100 budget for starting this up.
speaking of start up all initial models used for ridemedirtyface get a pathetic $20 and your choice of alcholic beverage from mardigras truck stop, termite and vines 24 hour beverage solution.
[we're gonna pay people better if we actually make money]
[or at least next time you come to termite you can see our solid gold toilet and jeweled hole in the ceiling]

that project is temporailly back burnered while we focus on turning termites electricity (and legitimacy) the fuck back on...
also morteville redevelopment authority, who have a brazen public agenda to reign in squatters rights, have jammed up my legal proceeding by requsitioning all the citys blighted property files from the health department and hiding them in the redevelopment offices making them unavailable to the public. if they dont give me the judgments i ordered on the ceramics store then i'm gonna manufacture my own copy of the document from scratch and take it to the health department and get them to certify it. if that doesnt work then i'm gonna dress up like a ninja and crawl in to redevelopment through the air vents from the archive 6 floors below.
and if that doesnt work then i'll fly a plane in to their building.
i'm sure theres other news i'm forgetting but i cant remember it and i gotta pee and go to work.
